Sunday School End of Year Message-June 2011
Dear Families:
THANK YOU to ALL (children, families, teachers and congregation) for another wonderful year of learning about God and his wondrous and amazing love and grace for all of us. It’s a pleasure and privilege to be part of this ministry.
Hope you have a great Summer Break. See you on Rally Day.
A special THANK YOU goes to Jennifer Kolovos who has been a Sunday School classroom teacher with us for the last 3 years. Thank you, Jennifer for all your work and dedication. It has been a great pleasure to work with you. We wish you the best as you pursue other interests and ministries.
In Christ,
Jenny Araujo

Youth and Confirmation Programs
Luther Memorial has a growing youth program designed to engage youth and young adults in many ways. We hang out together. We eat together. We pray together. We basically do everything the early church did together, except we also play Whirlyball and go to water parks. But we are dedicated to figuring out what it means to be a young Christian in today's world.
Our youth group meets twice a month. Monday nights are the usual night, but we also use Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to gather and figure out what God is doing in the world. More information about our youth program can be found at http://lmcyouth.wordpress.com.
We also run a great Confirmation program. Confirmation is an opportunity for youth to engage their spirituality through disciplined study of the Catechism, the Bible, and how our neighborhood intersects those two resources. Confirmation meets twice monthly on Monday nights, and we use Luther's Small Catechism as our guiding post. More information about our Confirmation program can be found at

Lutheran Outdoors Ministries
If you are looking for a great place to spend some time as a family or for your children, consider signing up for an LOMC event at LOMC's outdoor camp located just outside of Oregon, IL. It is a beautiful setting to experience the splendor of God's creation, meet new friends, expand your understanding of the Bible, learn new songs, swim, hike, let someone else cook, and more!
Check out their website for more information about what's happening: Lutheran Outdoor Ministries.
